We have been working on a new room for Ezra so we can make room for the new baby. When we went to take the stuff out we found that 2 of the plaster was coming away from the lathe so Christian ripped out 2 of the walls and put up sheet rock. Ezra will move in this weekend but wanted to show some of the work we have been doing! And will post with the finished product:)
Sorry this is not in order but wanted to keep you updated on the recent! I will try to update more of what else we are working on outside and such...

June 2007
Progress is being made....the addition is sided and looks like it has always been part of the house!
Ezra and dad in the bobcat. Working on the yard to landscape rocks around the east and south side of the house.
Here are the Carbajal's and Jack helping stack rocks and put dirt in. They were all such a great help! It was a long HOT Sunday to be working.

Winter 2006
October 2006
This month we started on getting the porch up to enclose it for the winter. In the porch there is a HUGE hole to the basement since this is where the only set of stairs will go down.
Here are some of the workers...Ezra is trying to help "Pa" (Dan).
And here are the posers!!!!!!
Actually Joe and Marilyn helped quite a bit!

September 2006
Laid foundation and block!!!!!! And set house back down. And we did all our own plumbing and electrical.
Jack working in the trenches...finishing putting up Platon house wrap otherwise know by our contractors as "nipple board". Jack had a fun time with this trying to get Christian to ask the lady at Menards for "nipple board"! (They didn't know what the real name was!)
Then everything was back filled in around the house and finally normal steps into the back porch! The contractors jobs all were done now the rest is up to us!!!!!!!!!!

August 2006
Monicken House Movers from Baldwin came in and jacked the whole house up!
Here is the ramp they used to get under with the bobcat to start digging all the dirt out so they could get their equipment under there.
Ezra decided to help at the end of the day, he thought he was BIG stuff...
Then we swayed in the breeze for a few weeks until all the dirt was dug out, sand put in, block laid, then we were sat back down on block. Meanwhile we were royalty with our castle and moat and plank!
Christian down in the pit with the landscaper. They put in a 14 hour day and a 16 hour day. The landscaper in the bobcat was looking really tired and Christian was the one prying out all the big boulders.
